Amazon Principal Tech Program Manager, Amazon Security IAM in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon Stores Security - IAM (Identity and Access Management) is seeking a highly motivated and driven Principal Technical Program Manager to lead initiatives aimed at improving Amazon's overall access health to customer data via fine-grained access controls. This leader will spearhead the development of enterprise-wide IAM solutions and programs for access management and compliance, creating streamlined approaches to logging, monitoring, and authorization across Amazon's ecosystem.

Amazon Stores IAM Security is driving multi-year human access reduction program, prioritizes and implements controls for the interaction points where builders access production systems at infrastructure layer, admin layer and application layer. We are transitioning application authorization to an automated permission management model, reducing the burden of creating authorization policies and baselining for application owners.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop IAM security strategy, aligning it with company's business objectives and risk tolerance.

• Partner with business leaders and stakeholders across the company to drive the development of paved-path solutions for securing access to data.

• Lead executive-level presentations and reviews to secure buy-in for strategic initiatives.

• Oversee large-scale, complex programs spanning multiple regions and business verticals.

• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource requirements.

• Drive regular program reviews and status updates with key stakeholders.

• Run the rhythm of business for the IAM organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
