Our projects include: Seattle Waterfront Revitalization: This project aims to transform the Seattle waterfront into a vibrant public space, enhancing the city's connection to Elliott Bay. Seattle Light Rail Expansion: Mott MacDonald is contributing to the expansion of Seattle's light rail system, improving public transportation and reducing traffic congestion. To support a major transit program in Seattle, we're looking to welcome a Civil Design Manager to the team to manage and have oversight the Civil EDS Designers, particularly in the pre-construction phase. The Civil Design Manager responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to: Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the oversight of the design of a major design-build rail project. Management of Civils EDS Designer. Ensuring the design aligns with the schedule and awareness of cost driven DB design Facilitate necessary meetings with the project team and client management to discuss and brief design status. We invite applications from candidates with the following experience: Minimum of 15 years of relevant detailed design and design management experience. Experience as Design Manager on one or more transit, rail, or airport design-build projects with capital construction values of at least $500 million, as an employee of design firm or contractor. A bachelor's degree in a relatable discipline is preferred. Familiarity and experience in Design Build projects. Experience with scheduling and cost. A broad technical understanding, excellent organizational skills; commercial acuity, and the ability to set direction for integrated teams of consultant, client and contractor. The ability to meet project budgets and schedules must be demonstrated. Ability to work harmoniously with the contractor, client and consultant team. Ensure effective communication with the project team. Effective stakeholder engagement. Any experience on rail or heavy civil projects is preferred. The expected salary for this position is $178,000- $218,000 Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
