UW Medical Center-Northwest – SPORTS MEDICINE CLINIC (Ballard, Seattle) has an outstanding opportunity for a PEDORTHIST WORK SCHEDULE - FULL-TIME; 100% FTE; 40 hours per week - Day Shift

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with physicians in the evaluation of custom orthotics or other needs based on physician orders.

• Greet and room patients.

• Evaluate patient’s needs in relation to function loss.

• Cast, fit and modify patient orthotics, shoes, and/or braces.

• Provide follow-up with patient and physicians.

• Educate patients about their shoes and feet.

• Perform gait analysis with therapist, patients and physician including filming and recording patient information.

• Provide detailed clinical notes to patient’s electronic medical record.

• Research new materials, shoes, and braces.

• Train pedorthic assistants.

• Manage inventory & informs when supplies are needed.

• Provide assistance to other clinical staff.

• Provide other duties or special projects as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified Pedorthist.

• Current cast technician certification or obtains certification within one year of hire or equivalent education/experience. DESIRED

• Minimum of one-year experience in a clinic setting preferred.
