UW Medical Center-Northwest – SPORTS MEDICINE CLINIC (Ballard, Seattle) has an outstanding opportunity for a PEDORTHIST WORK SCHEDULE - FULL-TIME; 100% FTE; 40 hours per week - Day Shift
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with physicians in the evaluation of custom orthotics or other needs based on physician orders.
Greet and room patients.
Evaluate patient’s needs in relation to function loss.
Cast, fit and modify patient orthotics, shoes, and/or braces.
Provide follow-up with patient and physicians.
Educate patients about their shoes and feet.
Perform gait analysis with therapist, patients and physician including filming and recording patient information.
Provide detailed clinical notes to patient’s electronic medical record.
Research new materials, shoes, and braces.
Train pedorthic assistants.
Manage inventory & informs when supplies are needed.
Provide assistance to other clinical staff.
Provide other duties or special projects as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Pedorthist.
Current cast technician certification or obtains certification within one year of hire or equivalent education/experience. DESIRED
Minimum of one-year experience in a clinic setting preferred.
