You can G.R.O.W. with Us by becoming our Operations Support Specialist 2 THE ROLE Under general supervision, performs clerical and administrative functions in support of the Operations Department. Performs timekeeping responsibilities, provides customer service and performs other duties as required. May perform procurement duties. May perform dispatching duties, as well as conduct route and service audits. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Provides administrative and clerical support to the operations department which may include calendaring, creating correspondence, developing reports, planning meetings and events, answering phones and other duties as assigned. Duties may be of a confidential or sensitive nature. Performs timekeeping responsibilities including recording schedules, hours worked, vacation approvals, etc. to ensure that attendance records are properly maintained. Courteously and tactfully assists customers, business partners, employees and vendors. Problem solves complex internal or external customer issues. May generate purchase orders, follow up with vendors and enter repair orders on the fleet maintenance system. Schedules and monitors shipping and receiving. Ensures that all export standards are met. Tracks commodities and takes inventory. May schedule service and assign drivers for special pick-ups, reassignment and arrange alternate coverage in case of employee absences or equipment failure. Audits routes to verify customer service levels. Reports route discrepancies to the appropriate manager. Assists the Operations Manager with route maintenance and sequencing activities to ensure route optimization. QUALIFICATIONS Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is: Five years of related administrative experience. Principles and practices of job site safety, potential job hazards, and state and local regulations. Basic computer programs. High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Skill and/or Ability to: Promotes the WASTE ZERO philosophy by making the best and highest use of all resources as well as finding ways to use waste products in ways that benefit the environment. Develops strategies to effectively manage current and future challenges and opportunities; develops recommendations and actionable plans. Defines issues and focus on achieving workable solutions; generates innovative ideas to develop or improve existing systems. Demonstrates ability to use computers and technology capabilities. Demonstrates strong proficiency and knowledge in area(s) of expertise as well as company business and proficiency in strategic and financial processes.
