Day shifts only DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONS The Garvey Institute Center for Neuromodulation opened in April 2024 and will significantly expand in 2025. The clinic provides outpatient, evidence-based Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) services for adult patients with major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, catatonia, and schizophrenia. This is a complex procedural unit that regularly works with patients undergoing anesthesia. Approximately 80% of the Nurse Manager’s time will be focused on this unit.Our Behavioral Health Intake Evaluation Unit confirms if patients will benefit from our behavioral health services. Intake Evaluators work closely with our physicians to perform clinical screens and verify insurance information.Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provide ongoing therapy services to patients transitioning out of inpatient behavioral healthcare. IOP and PHP patients typically live at home, but meet multiple times each week for individual counseling, behavioral therapy, psychoeducation, and case management services. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages all day-to-day and operational functions of our Neuromodulation Clinic, our Intake Evaluation Unit, and our IOP/PHP programs
Oversees approximately 20 staff, including Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Social Workers, and an Operations Supervisor
Collaborates directly with the Behavioral Health Assistant Administrator regarding access, referrals, volume development, department flow, and productivity
Develops workflows and policies as the units expand
Ensures evidence-based practice is integrated into department operations
Ensures that units meet regulatory healthcare standards
Ensures that documentation meets current standards and policies and is completed for each visit by clinical staff
Models customer service standards for staff and practitioners
Interviews and hires new staff
Completes regular performance evaluations for each staff member
Counsels employees, develops staff, and utilizes the disciplinary process when appropriate
Provides leadership and direction in accordance with organizational goals and objectives REQUIREMENTS
1 year of department manager-level nursing experience
At least 4 years of nursing work experience, preferably in a procedural area
Demonstrated skillsets in project management and clinical workflow development
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Demonstrated skillsets in procedural nursing
