The Masters in Infrastructure Planning and Management program is an innovative and interdisciplinary graduate on-line self-sustaining degree offered by the Department of Urban Design and Planning in partnership with the UW Continuum College. The program prepares graduates to lead the planning and development of the next generation of critical infrastructure systems with a goal of increasing resilience, security, and accessibility. Students in this program also gain a broad understanding of the complexity and interdependencies of our infrastructure systems—communications, public health, water, energy food and transportation with an opportunity through their final capstone to tackle an infrastructure related topic of their choice. To date, the program is one of few online urban planning graduate programs offered in the US.
