Robert Half Instructional Designer in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Learning & Development team at a global tech enterprise is seeking a talented Learning Experience Designer to craft engaging and interactive learning experiences for employees. This role will be pivotal in shaping onboarding and professional development training for this organization's internal teams, utilizing various tools and techniques to enhance learning outcomes.

Location: Seattle, WA (onsite 1-day/week, 4 days WFH)

Hours: 40 hours/week

Duration: 9-month contract

Pay Rate: $42-44/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop interactive eLearning modules and videos to create learner-centered training experiences.

  • Own the creation of eLearning modules, assessments, and evaluations to measure training effectiveness.

  • Develop scalable modules to ensure consistency across global training programs.

  • Manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment with acute attention to detail.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

    Requirements

Top Three Must-Haves:

  • Proficiency in Articulate Storyline/Rise

  • Mastery of Adobe suite

  • Experience designing and developing interactive training materials across multiple modalities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design

  • Proficiency in authoring tools like Storyline/Rise 360 and JavaScript for xAPI

  • Multimedia development skills using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, etc.

  • Experience designing interactive training materials across multiple modalities

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to keep multiple tasks on track

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Education Technology, or related field

  • Demonstrated experience delivering training solutions to large organizations

  • Relevant industry certifications in instructional design, project management, etc.

  • Advanced multimedia development skills

  • Familiarity with emerging tech trends for content creation (e.g., gamification, VR, xAPI)

  • Experience in voice-over narration for training materials

  • Proficiency in developing training content for localization

  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues and collaborating with software teams
