This summer, we're embarking on an exciting survey season across various locations, and we're looking for enthusiastic, team-oriented interns to join us. Location of the internship ranges from Houston, Charleston, Seattle, Anchorage, San Francisco, and the Chesapeake Bay. Internship Qualifications: A strong desire to learn new skills, including technical specifications and software Excellent organizational capabilities Efficient time management skills A quick learner, able to easily grasp new information in challenging situations Open to receiving and acting on guidance and feedback from mentors Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork Responsibilities Intern Responsibilities: Assisting with the acquisition and processing of hydrographic and geophysical data in support of government organizations and private sector clients for services such as nautical charting, dredging, marine construction, cable route mapping, pipeline inspection, and more. Engaging in data quality checks and preliminary analysis Learning and applying various hydrographic software tools and methodologies Contributing to the development and implementation of data management strategies Supporting the team in ensuring data accuracy and integrity *Intern responsibilities vary based on team placement within each department geographically Qualifications Candidate Requirements: A general understanding of hydrographic surveys Physical ability and willingness to work on 20 to 70ft vessels in coastal environments Depending on intern placement, willing and able to spend up to 2-3 weeks in the field for data collection while also completing rotations in an office to support processing A proactive attitude towards learning and using new software tools Benefits: Competitive hourly compensation: $25/hr in addition to: Provided lodging and transportation Provided travel arrangements to and from project locations and office locations Woolpert values diversity and inclusivity and encourages all interested candidates to apply.
