Job Summary This position is responsible for supervising Authorization Assistants and ancillary staff processing Health Related Service Flex (HRSF) and/or Health-Related Social Need (HRSN) requests. Work includes implementing and monitoring processes and procedures that support Clinical Operations initiatives, objectives, and program goals, as well as ensuring effective team productivity and performance. This position performs the Authorization Assistant duties in the event of staffing coverage needs. Essential Responsibilities Operations Supervise day-to-day unit operations; review work to ensure staff understanding and implementation of program priorities and principles. Assist Clinical Operation staff and teams from other CareOregon departments with escalated Health Related Services (HRS) issues including questions regarding requests and authorizations, grievances and appeal cases. Monitor and track daily staff work queues to ensure organizational and regulatory turnaround time requirements are met. Create monthly and quarterly reports to identify and support analysis of trends in requests, authorization inventory escalations. Coordinate and participate in periodic audits, , and other regulatory and accreditation activities; participate in analyzing and summarizing data for reporting. Support the HRS Manager and unit leadership with general quality management and improvement activities. Contribute to the creation of policies, procedures, workflows, standard operations and other tools to support program activity. Assist unit leadership with oversight of the unit's contracts and relationship with CareOregon partners and/or vendors as needed. Work collaboratively with other CareOregon departments and teams on interdepartmental process improvement projects; support the HRS Manager and department leadership with these initiatives. Provide HRS subject matter expertise to assist Training Specialist with the development of organization-wide staff training content. Develop and monitor recordkeeping processes and procedures for performance tracking and oversight of HRS staff related to tangential delegation oversight work. Provide limited coverage for team to stay current with work processes and identify process improvement opportunities Cover Authorization Assistant work assignments during times of increased inventory or staffing coverage needs.
