Amazon Front-End Engineer III, Seller Fees Science & Tech in Seattle, Washington

Description

Seller Fees team is seeking a self-driven Front End Engineer who will build Seller facing and Internal UI experiences, enabling Sellers to effectively manage their business and for internal users to effectively leverage WW Fee Platform capabilities. You’ll collaborate closely with UX designers, product owners, and other engineering team members to help define the product. As an experienced engineer, you will provide the technical experience to the team, drive best practices, mentor other engineers and drive continuous improvements in engineering and operational excellence. You will have an opportunity to expand your own skills by learning from very best software engineers and architects in the world.

This role offers wide scope, autonomy, and ownership. You will own the design of major deliverables end-to-end and work closely with experienced engineers to execute them. You should be willing to take on challenging initiatives and be capable of working both independently and with others as a team. You will design, build, test, and own highly scalable, available, and high performing low latency systems. Key job responsibilities

As a Front End Engineer-II on the team, you will be responsible for leading the UI design, development, and launch of core product features. You will:

  • Work directly with your stakeholders and peers to brainstorm, design, prototype, build, test, and iterate on new ideas to build new services and products

  • Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables

  • Leverage a wide range of AWS technologies to build full-stack web applications, distributed systems, and automation workflows

  • Mentor & grow engineers across the team, leading by example and insisting on high standards

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience

  • 5+ years of front-end developer creating prototypes or wire-frames for enterprise web applications or workflows experience

  • Experience developing with MVC/MVM frameworks (e.g. React.JS, AngularJS, Vue)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and REST

  • Experience in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
