Amazon Finance Manager, Selling Partner Services Finance - US 3P in Seattle, Washington

Description

We are seeking Senior Finance Manager to be the CFO of the Strategic Account Services (SAS) org. The Strategic Account Services (SAS) strives to improve the Amazon customer experience by working directly with Selling Partners to enable more selection, reduce defects, and drive growth across their businesses. The primary driver is Gross Merchandise Sales (GMS) and Free Cash Flow (FCF) from our paid services.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic guidance, as well as overall finance, controllership, operational, and leadership support in this exciting and evolving space. The Senior Finance Manager will drive business insights and have strong financial modeling skills. We are looking for a candidate with analytical skills, pricing modeling skills, strong bias for action, superb customer focus, and the ability to communicate with and influence business leadership. This role will collaborate with Global Selling, International Seller Services, FP&A, Accounting and within broader WW SPS team.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead modeling financial trade-offs, its implications and business case development to support new initiatives, fee strategy, total addressable market analysis and other business decisions

  • Partner with the SAS leadership team to provide both strategy and analysis in producing short and long-term financial forecasting

  • Develop cost-out and continuous improvement mechanisms for variable costs

  • Develop metrics and reporting to derive insights on financial and business performance, and influence program or product roadmaps

  • Own and influence the Seller Services program P&L to right size cost-to-serve and improve margins/ROI

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
