Description
Prime Video is looking to fill a Finance Manager role for our US Prime Video Channels business (a la carte add-on subscriptions to third-party video subscription services). Channels is a key component of the Prime Video business providing a breadth of selection to customers.
Prime Video offers customers the greatest choice in what to watch including Amazon Original hits like Rings of Power, Jack Ryan, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, 3P Channel subscriptions like Max and Paramount+, live events like Thursday Night Football games, and a large catalog of transactional (rent or buy) and advertising-supported content (AVOD). The Prime Video team comprises individuals who are all obsessively focused on one mission: to give consumers the world’s best-in-class digital video customer experience. The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self-starter who is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with strong data gathering and modeling skills. The role also has regular interaction with various business leaders and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
Influence 3P partners and internal business stakeholders as the finance owner of a fast growing Ads business
Impact business decisions by effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of alternatives
Leading ad hoc financial analyses and new business development initiatives
Driving cross-business analytic projects for senior management, with financial modeling, data mining and presentation support
A day in the life
This role will partner directly with the Prime Video Channels business teams. This position is responsible for supporting a quickly growing Ads business, Marketing, and plays a critical role in supporting various business and finance leadership decisions through comprehensive financial modeling, analytical insights, and strategic recommendations aimed at driving Prime Video performance. You’ll partner cross functionally with Ads Sales, Ads Finance, Marketing, Product, and Content Acquisition to drive results.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
