Aston Carter F&B / CPG Project Manager in Seattle, Washington

Globally recognized Food & Beverage (Coffee) Company located in Seattle, WA is currently hiring for a hybrid schedule Project Manager. This role will be in office Tuesday - Thursday and remote Monday and Friday. This role will be Responsible for the impactful, effective, and efficient execution of the Innovation and Renovation(I&R) portfolio of projects. Plan and lead projects end-to-end (E2E) and orchestrate a cross-functional team to achieve defined project goals. Manage I&R projects with key stakeholders to ensure resources invested, deliver against the business case and bring expected return on investment. As a member of the Project Management Office (PMO) team, support the team’s journey to achieving its stated vision, mission, values, and scope.
Pay - $53/hr. - $54/hr.
Location - Seattle, WA (Tuesday - Thursday onsite, Monday and Friday remote)
Contract Duration - 12 Months Contract to start with very high potential for extension
(Summary of Key Responsibilities)
Apply project management skills, leadership and subject-matter expertise to ensure the on-scope, on-time and on-quality execution and launch of projects through the end-to-end project lifecycle. Activities include:
Lead the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of the project
Lead the definition and communication of project objectives, scope and key success criteria
Define the project team, work with functional line managers to identify and secure resources and escalate resource constraints
Build and manage the project schedule, define the critical path, track activities and hold project team members accountable for accomplishing agreed deliverables and timing
Drive proactive opportunity and risk management and escalate critical issues to key stakeholders
Coordinate and facilitate project meetings including project kick-off’s, weekly status meetings, risk assessments, post-launch reviews and additional meetings or workshops as required
Provide transparent communication of project status to project team members, sr. leaders and other key stakeholders
Identify change requests, evaluate impact, obtain approval/rejection from decision-makers, communicate and document change(s) accordingly
Lead the project team to identify and share lessons learned and recommendations for future improvement
Ensure timely and accurate entry and maintenance of project data in the project portfolio management (PPM) system
Support the PMO team’s journey to achieving its stated vision, mission, values and scope by planning and leading project management, process management and/or portfolio management improvement initiatives in alignment with our PMO
(Qualification Requirements)
CONSIDERING LOCAL APPLICANTS WHO ARE CURRENTLY RESIDING IN WASHINGTON STATE AS WE'RE UNABLE TO SUPPORT RELOCATION AT THIS TIME
3+ years of project management experience either in F&B (Food & Beverage), manufacturing, retail, or CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry.
Experience creating PowerPoint Slide Decks for projects and presenting to higher-ups or stakeholders.
Comfortability handling multiple projects at the same time (this role may handle up to 10-15 projects at any given time).
Risk mitigation experience
Experience setting next step deliverables and milestones
Experience handling projects focusing on sustainability is highly preferred
Must be comfortable handling multiple projects at the same time
Must be comfortable with Waterfall methodology
Must be comfortable with ambiguity and handling projects that are not fully established
Must be comfortable working onsite in Seattle, WA 3 days a week (2 days remote)
Experience with stage gate methodology preferred
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus
Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and project scheduling software (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet) proficiency

• Compensation is tied to the Colorado and Washington markets for jobs performed in Colorado and Washington. Other locations may be subject to variances based on location-related factors.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $54.00
