Amazon Engagement Manager Intern, AWS Professional Services in Seattle, Washington

Note: Amazon internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 consecutive weeks, starting May/June 2025. Applicants should have at a minimum one quarter/semester remaining after their internship concludes. This internship role is required to be onsite 5 days a week in Arlington, VA or Seattle, WA.

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we’re seeking interns to join our AWS Engagement Management Internship program with Professional Services. Engagement Managers lead the delivery of AWS cloud products and services that enable our customers to realize their business objectives. Professional services engagements focus on the full platform of AWS customer solutions to help our customers and partners remove constraints and accelerate their cloud computing journey on AWS.

This role will focus on building your consulting capabilities by working alongside our Engagement Management Team on AWS development initiatives. Under the guidance and supervision of an Engagement Manager, you will learn about AWS products and services, and support in facilitating and monitoring cloud adoption engagement activities. You will learn AWS consulting skills to make appropriate data-driven decisions and drive business communication and decisions with internal and external stakeholders. You will track customer engagement, schedule, scope, financials, and outcomes based on customer contracts and AWS frameworks.

Upon successful completion of the internship program, select interns may receive a full-time offer to join as a Professional Services Associate Engagement Manager in Arlington, VA or Seattle, WA that has up to 75% travel associated. While many of our customers engage ProServe virtually, there is always the potential that a customer might choose to include travel in their contract.

Key job responsibilities

Collaboration: Interface with various customers and internal AWS stakeholders consisting of Engagement Managers, Practice Managers, and project teams

Communication: Present to team members and audiences of all levels using effective verbal and written communication skills

Self-Directed: Work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and able to take proactive steps to exceed customer expectations

Basic Qualifications

Enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Business, Project Management or STEM related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc.), with a conferral date between December 2025 and August 2026

Experience assisting in project or program delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

Coursework in Project Management

Leadership/Communication role (clubs, organizations, volunteering, etc.)

General business understanding of Profit and Loss and/or Project Financials

Understanding of cloud, software, or emerging technologies (IoT, Blockchain, AI/ML) projects

AWS experience and certifications

Supported IT project(s) in previous internships or roles

Experience with Agile and Project Management tool-sets and frameworks (Jira, RallyDev, VersionOne, Taiga, Scrum, Scaled Agile/SAFe, Kanban, etc.).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $42.50/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $88.94/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
