• onsite POSITION HIGHLIGHTS The Culinary Associate prepares and serves hot and cold foods for all hospital food related functions. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produces/prepares, presents, and serves food items by following specifications on production sheets, standardized menus, computerized recipes, verbal instructions, patients’ prescribed diet orders, or customer requests

• Maintains sanitary working conditions and practices approved food safety procedures, stores food and food supplies according to HACCP procedures

• Maintains and documents temperatures of all food items and equipment

• Follows established guidelines including: taking temperatures, documenting and filing data to be stored for hot and cold foods, and dating, labeling, proper storage, and daily handling of products

• Cleans and sanitizes production and storage work areas

• Coordinates production and provision of appropriate meal items with café, catering, and patient care staff REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment AND one year of experience preparing and serving food and maintaining clean work area; or equivalent education/experience.
