onsite POSITION HIGHLIGHTS The Culinary Associate prepares and serves hot and cold foods for all hospital food related functions. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Produces/prepares, presents, and serves food items by following specifications on production sheets, standardized menus, computerized recipes, verbal instructions, patients’ prescribed diet orders, or customer requests
Maintains sanitary working conditions and practices approved food safety procedures, stores food and food supplies according to HACCP procedures
Maintains and documents temperatures of all food items and equipment
Follows established guidelines including: taking temperatures, documenting and filing data to be stored for hot and cold foods, and dating, labeling, proper storage, and daily handling of products
Cleans and sanitizes production and storage work areas
Coordinates production and provision of appropriate meal items with café, catering, and patient care staff REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment AND one year of experience preparing and serving food and maintaining clean work area; or equivalent education/experience.
