About the Position
IMCO is looking for qualified intern candidates seeking to gain professional experience in Heavy Civil Construction.
Intern positions may include office or field engineering, preconstruction, and estimating on various projects. Interns at IMCO assist and support project teams and/or department supervisors by performing routine daily administrative and project-related activities, gathering information, and assisting in coordinating and completing tasks. In general, the intern will get hands-on experience in the field and office learning how to manage and construct exciting projects.

Primary Responsibilities
Working with a vibrant and diverse team to build, estimate, and deliver complex projects successfully.
Support administrative and construction activities as assigned by the supervisor such as; reviewing proposals/specifications and drawings, performing material takeoffs, and preparing cost estimates.
Learn how to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors.
Prepare work plans, assure quality control, manage costs and materials, and other duties as assigned.

$25 an hour - Relocation is not offered

Location – Washington, Oregon, or Idaho
2025 internship timeframes are flexible, based on the student's school schedule
8-hour shifts
Overtime may be available
Evening/weekend work may be necessary on occasion
Requirements and Qualifications
Currently enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or HSE, related program, or a recent college graduate. Or 2+ years of field construction experience with a general knowledge of project management.
Current and valid driver’s license
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
Pre-employment drug testing required
This position is considered a safety-sensitive position therefore, pre-employment drug screening will include cannabis testing
Criminal background check required
