Description
The Grocery operations team is seeking an experienced and innovative Business Analyst to help shape the future of grocery shrink and waste optimization.
You will support the rapid growth of this initiative by developing business metrics, mining data to uncover consumer insights and business opportunity, establishing new reporting and partnering with internal stakeholders to drive the business. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with proven experience delivering results.
Specific responsibilities include identifying the necessary metrics and creating reports to increase understanding of the business, proactively identifying pain points or opportunities through systemic measurement. The Business Analyst will be detail oriented, and possess expertise in both qualitative and quantitative analysis with a passion for delivering actionable insights to key stakeholders. The right candidate will blend advanced reporting with strong critical thinking and project management skills. Your success in the role will have a large impact on improving the customer experience and growing the business.

A day in the life
Partner across stakeholders to identify and build new weekly and daily reporting to provide insights into shrink management and optimization. Establish new dashboards and analytics to proactively manage grocery and perishable efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
Experience with Excel
Experience with SQL
Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
