Amazon Business Analyst, Workforce Staffing in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Amazon Workforce Staffing (WFS) Generative AI Team is looking for a Business Analyst that will champion the adoption of cutting-edge Generative AI tools, collaborating closely with talented program managers and product managers. Together, you will craft innovative business solutions that delight internal teams and propel the organization towards achieving its strategic staffing goals. In this role as a BA, you will partner with Staffing,Data Engineering, Business and Central Operations teams to consult, develop and automate reporting/process solutions to meet business requirements.

We are looking for someone with a broad technical background in data analytics, strong business acumen, who takes ownership of their work, and is focused on customer needs. The successful candidate will communicate crisply in non-technical terms to senior management. They will have an ability to make data-driven conclusions and will be comfortable with ambiguity while working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The candidate will also need to be a collaborator who can work with multiple teams to define and implement solutions that will yield benefits to Amazon customers around the world.

As a business analyst you will build reports and metrics, drive ad hoc analysis and work closely with our Program and Product Managers. Generative AI is a rapidly developing field, and we are looking for candidates who are curious to learn and ready to embrace the dynamic developments. Key job responsibilities

  1. Build reports and analyses utilizing QuickSight and advanced SQL skills.

  2. Leverage Generative AI tools/applications to efficiently deliver solutions. Up-skill on latest techniques/services as needed.

  3. Use active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner.

  4. Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc.

  5. Partner with operations/business teams to consult, develop ,implement and automate reporting solutions, and process improvements to meet business needs.

  6. Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.

  7. Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions. Preparing and delivering business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience with Excel

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience partnering with executive-level leaders to identifying and solving business issues

  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Masters in Business, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics

  • Expert-level knowledge of SQL

  • Beginner level knowledge of Python

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

  • Knowledge about Generative AI

  • Advanced analytical skills

  • Superior attention to detail

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
