If so, the Selling Partner Support team is looking for a business analyst to build scalable data systems to create, analyze and report on key metrics that impact our Associates and Selling partners and editorial teams positively.

We are looking for someone with a broad technical background in data analytics and analytics tools, strong business acumen, takes ownership of their work, and is focused on customer needs. They will have an ability to make data-driven conclusions and will be comfortable with ambiguity while working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The candidate will also need to be a collaborator who can work with internal and external teams to define and implement solutions that will yield benefits to associates and selling partners around the world.

Key job responsibilities

• Own the design, development, and maintenance of scalable solutions for ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards, etc. to support analytical and business needs.

• Work with team leadership to understand the customer needs and concerns as well as define solutions.

• Translate basic business problem statements into analysis requirements. Work with internal customers to define best output based on expressed stakeholder needs.

• Use analytical and statistical rigor to solve complex problems and drive business decisions.

• Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.

• Design and drive experiments, A/B testing, outlier deep dives and form actionable recommendations. Manage the implementation of those recommendations.

• Write queries and output efficiently, and have in-depth knowledge of the data available in area of expertise. Pull the data needed with standard query syntax; periodically identify more advanced methods of query optimization. Convert data to make it analysis-ready.

• Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.

• Monitor and troubleshoot operational or data issues in the data pipelines

• Review and audit existing data migration jobs and SQL queries.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

• 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience

• 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience

• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

• Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

• Experience with Excel

• Experience with data visualization tool Quicksight to build and populate dashboards

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
