Job Title: Building Integration Programmer

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create control algorithms, download source code to controllers, manage system databases, and implement an animated front-end graphical user interface.

  • Experience in multiple systems integration, getting different protocols to talk to each other and share information. One front end for multiple platforms.

  • Executes project start-ups, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of installed BAS controls and mechanical systems on assigned projects.

  • Participates in the layout and coordination of network drops, IP addresses and monitoring tools with customer's IT Department personnel.

  • Works with equipment vendors to coordinate communication protocols, encryption, and database requirements for integration to their systems.

  • Runs semi-complex reports to analyze system operation, works with project team to demonstrate system operation and verify consistency with the contracted scope of work.

  • Participates in final inspection and testing, assures customer acceptance, and conducts training for end user customers on system operations.

Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)

  • 5 years of experience with Niagara AX/N4

  • BACnet Control Systems, Distech/Delta experience preferred

  • Must have working knowledge of HVAC systems - Unitary Systems to Central Plants

  • Must have good troubleshooting skills for determining HVAC vs. computer/controller issues

  • General understanding of IP networks

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD

  • Must be Niagara N4 Certified

  • Knowledge of Direct Digital Controls, BACnet, MODbus, Tridium, Distech, and Delta

  • Knowledge of Windows Operating System

  • Must have excellent communication skills

  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints

  • Must pass background check and drug screening

  • Some flexibility to work overtime/weekends

  • Jobsite work required – must be willing to work on site

Compensation Range: $55 - $68 per hour
