Responsibilities: Assume responsibility for the day-to-day success of multiple projects, including acting as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and project teams; training and mentoring teammates; and managing small-to-medium projects, as appropriate Perform on-site investigations, condition assessments, and construction administration, which may include documenting distress, performance evaluation, and field testing, collecting data and samples, and troubleshooting details Analyze field data and perform research and review of modern and historic construction documents, governing codes, and design guidelines to facilitate analysis, problem-solving, and repair design Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final client deliverables, including written reports, calculation packets, construction documents, repair design details (developed by hand and in CAD), and project specifications Contribute to company-wide objectives through involvement in office and company development initiatives, in-house Technical Resource Groups (TRGs) and research projects, and relevant industry committees and professional organizations Qualifications/Competencies: Bachelor's degree in architecture, architectural engineering, building science, civil engineering, or a related field Three to eight years of relevant industry experience, with a demonstrated interest in the design, construction, investigation, and/or repair of various building envelope systems; principles of heat, air, and moisture control within enclosure materials and assemblies; evaluation of building performance; and/or preservation and rehabilitation of historic structures; focused interest in roofing and waterproofing systems preferred Demonstrated progress towards attaining relevant industry licensure/certifications, as applicable, e.g., Registered Architect (RA), Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Roof Consultant (RRC), Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC) Effective technical, graphical, written, and verbal communication skills Team player mindset with a willingness to proactively take on various roles and responsibilities Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing demands, while maintaining productive interpersonal relationships and a high standard of excellence, integrity, and attention to detail Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
