UW Medical Center – Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3) to join our new Oncology unit scheduled to open September of 2024.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 90% FTE, 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts)

  • Day and Night positions DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION E1 Oncology will be a newly established 29-bed inpatient oncology unit. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a new, dedicated nursing team that always puts their patients first. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs specific leadership functions related to clinical practice, education, and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Nurse Manager

  • Assumes staff assignments and preceptor responsibility

  • Provides leadership for unit and departmental activities that promote delivery of quality nursing care, effective problem solving and communication, and continued professional development for self and others REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Charge nurse experience, preceptor experience and/or leadership experience

  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington

  • Current or recent Oncology nursing experience

  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate preferred
