Hyatt Assistant Banquets Manager in SEATTLE, Washington

Join us for an incredible opportunity to be a part of our Event Services leadership team as our Assistant Banquets Manager, supporting the Hyatt Regency Seattle & Hyatt at Olive 8!
The Assistant Banquets Manager will be responsible for managing banquet events at the hotel. This person supervises event room set-ups, service, and maintenance of all banquet functions and banquet equipment. This role is a highly detailed role within the hotel to complete event requirement and create an appealing experience for guests.
Responsibilities may include:
Supports and Manages the Event Services (Banquets) department while working closely with the Banquets Manager, Director, and Assistant Director of Operations and other hotel departments
Supervise, Empower, Lead, Coach and Motivate the teams including captains, food servers, and lead housepersons towards achieving exceptional guest service results and complete colleague engagement
Ability to assist the hotel in reaching top box service scores on our Meeting Planner surveys.
Ensure thorough communication and understanding with guests and other departments by reviewing Banquet Event Orders.
Support the appropriate and timely set up of all functions and meetings while maintaining standards of food, beverage and meeting specifications
Support the review of staffing and equipment needs
Support the coordination and execution of all events with Culinary, Stewarding, Event Planning & Sales, and Event Setup
Maintain a high energy, positive, professional appearance
Develop innovative and creative décor for Banquet function space
Support the short and long term banquet functions in the front and back of the house
Support an environment establishing the highest standards of quality service and ensure implementation through effective hiring, training development, promotion and continuous reinforcement.
Administrative tasks may include the facilitation of payroll, reports, forecasts, point of sale procedures, inventory and budget for food and beverage functions
Perform daily walk-throughs in banquet department and all function space and storerooms to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards
Ability to develop ideas for special events and holiday functions
The Assistant Banquet Manager is an integral part of the hotel's overall Food and Beverage team. You will work alongside your colleagues in the Food & Beverage Team to foster a successful Food & Beverage operation.
The salary range for this position is $77,968.80 to $106,000. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications, and education.

Qualifications:
Previous Food & Beverage leadership experience preferred
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
Must be available to work a varying schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Detail Oriented
Strong communication skills
Proficient in general computer knowledge
