Description
The Siri team is looking for an exceptional engineering manager to help build cross-device experiences in the Siri platform. As Apple continues to ship more devices, providing a consistent and cohesive Siri experience becomes very critical for our users. This is a rare and unique opportunity to define the strategy and roadmap for cross-device experiences from the ground up. These experiences will help power Siri and drive innovative experiences to our upcoming products. In this role, you will support an existing team and will help to define its charter and drive the strategy and roadmap for supporting cross-device experiences in Siri. You will be working closely with many partner teams and will have a significant impact on how Siri works across a wide range of products. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: - Spearhead the design and development of the components and features for the Siri cross-device platform - Lead and develop a team of very hardworking software engineers - Collaborate with multi-functional teams to capture requirements, understand dependencies, define architecture, and implement solutions to well-defined projects - Work with design and client-side development teams to ensure an extraordinary user experience across all Apple devices
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of professional software engineering experience
5+ years leading engineering teams that design complex software engineering projects
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Strong Computer Science fundamentals, object-oriented programming, and design skills
Experience with wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, WiFi, or UWB

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $208,300 and $313,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
