Robert Half Accounts Payable Lead in Seattle, Washington

Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to be part of our team in the legal industry, based in Seattle, Washington. This role involves operational duties such as tracking payments, reconciling ledgers, managing files, and improving processes related to accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor all payments and expenditures, including checks, ACHs, wires, and credit card purchases and payments.

• Reconcile Accounts Payable General Ledger's and monthly statements.

• Manage monthly closing of Accounts Payable records.

• Maintain Accounts Payable files and year-end files.

• Research, resolve, and communicate issues and discrepancies within all aspects of Accounts Payable.

• Implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to guidelines.

• Continuously improve the Accounts Payable process.

• Perform any other related duties and assignments as required.

• Utilize skills such as General Ledger, Ledger Reconciliations, Statement Reconciliations, Month End Close, Accounts Payable (AP), Maintain Files, Monitor Expenditures, and Process Improvement.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000.

Requirements • Prior experience in the legal industry preferred

• Demonstrated proficiency in General Ledger management

• Strong skills in Ledger and Statement Reconciliations

• Experience in Month End Close processes

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and practices

• Ability to maintain and organize files efficiently

• Experience in monitoring expenditures and budgeting

• Demonstrated ability in identifying and implementing process improvements

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficiency in the use of computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
