Envision starting your day with a clear goal in mind: meeting the sales targets assigned by management. You begin by developing and furthering customer contacts at all levels within data center companies, driving sales for Siemens Energy business units. Your ability to combine Siemens Energy's current and future portfolio products with customer needs is key to your success.
Throughout the day, you work on developing project approvals for sales opportunities, communicating these opportunities to Siemens Energy business unit management for approval. You conceptualize scenarios with customers, considering their current situation and future sustainability and cost goals. Collaborating with your team, you develop balanced and efficient solutions that address customer needs, presenting complex results to C-level executives in an easy-to-understand way.
Your role also involves working closely with Siemens Energy business and product lines to forecast customer needs and product requirements ensuring that Siemens Energy remains a leader in the industry.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Establish and maintain strategic customer relationships at all levels within data center companies to drive sales for Siemens Energy business units.
Align Siemens Energy's current and future product portfolio with customer requirements.
Develop and present project approvals for sales opportunities to Siemens Energy management.
Collaborate with customers to build scenarios based on their current situation and future sustainability and cost objectives.
Manage your team in developing sustainable and cost-effective solutions, presenting complex results to C-level executives in a clear and concise manner.
Work closely with Siemens Energy business and product lines to forecast customer needs and product requirements.
Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets.
Represent Siemens in the US and Canada, developing high-quality, qualified sales opportunities.

What You Bring
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, economics, business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
5+ years professional work experience that includes proven experience in sales and business development roles within the data center or industrial/power production sectors is required. Those with more experience may be considered for a higher level and vice versa.
In-depth knowledge of the US and/or Canadian data centers market. Including understanding of business models for data center owners (AWS, Google, Microsoft), co-locators (Equinix), and blockchain users (Coinbase, Galaxy Digital Holdings).
Understanding of customer business models for energy and cooling technology procurement, data center development, and transmission access.
Familiarity with industry trends in decarbonization and artificial intelligence applications.
Skilled in leading discovery sessions to understand customer drivers and decision-making processes.
Ability to research publicly available information to understand customer goals related to expansion, new technologies, ESG, and decarbonization.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees already in the US with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
About the Team
In our North American Hub, we offer a broad portfolio of innovative technologies, services and solutions for centralized and decentralized energy production and industrial process industries.
Power Systems Development:
Focuses on customers who are early adopters of new technologies on sophisticated projects across multiple Siemens entities (SEI, SII, SGRE, PDI) currently including on-shore and off-shore wind, solar, hydrogen, battery storage, transportation electrification, digitalization, grid access, emerging thermal generation modalities, and various Power to X technologies.
Help customers with their decarbonization goals across the broad energy industry spectrum by providing customer studies, working with government affairs to advocate for policy changes and enable the broader sales team to monitor and meet customer sustainability goals.
Brief the broader sales team on these new technologies as they become widely adopted across the customer landscape, enabling Power Systems Sales to offer expanded decarbonized solutions.
Leads business development efforts across new and emerging industrial verticals that Siemens Energy has no or limited market share
