Position: Youth Coordinator
Location:The Salvation Army Seaford Corps
Availability of Position: Immediate
Schedule:Part-Time-plus; 20-29 hours per week; Evening and Weekends required
Reporting Relationship: Corps Commanding Officer
Salary and Grade:$15.00 per hour; 73 Non-Exempt

Position Overview: This position’s primary responsibility is to give oversight as directed by the Corps Officer for the Salvation Army children’s programming at the Corps. In addition, this position would assist with summer programs and other seasonal programs as assigned.
Responsibilities
With regards to Salvation Army children’s programming:
Lead after-school program for kids.
Pick up children and drop them off
Lead Sunday school
Able to play an instrument to lead kids worship
Help with food preparation of programs
Passion for the kingdom of God. Burning desire to reach out to the kids in the community.
Passion to lead children and youth to Christ.
A ssist Corps Officer with planning and oversight of Corps troops programs, and other youth programs as assigned
Oversee / organize Music and Arts program for children
Serve in team ministry for the leadership of these programs
Submit needed statistics and reports as assigned
With regards to other program and administrative assignments:
- Assist with Seasonal program activities as needed
Oversee Corps Camp Ladore Camper recruitment each spring
Oversee and/or assist with various Summer ministry programs and services
Assist where possible in Sunday worship ministry
Submit needed statistics and reports as assigned
Assist with transportation of youth to Corps and/or Divisional activities
Serve as member of the Corps Council
Handles other tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by Corps Officer

Active Senior Soldier in The Salvation Army
Must have passion for children’s ministry and evangelist
Must have excellent relational skills with children and adults
Must have good organizational skills
Salvation Army youth work experience preferred
Ability to speak Spanish is a plus but not necessary
Training and experience in urban ministry preferred
Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Must be able to obtain clearances required by the Joseph R. Biden III and the Child Protection Act.
Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
