Job Title: Planning Manager

Job Description

The Manager of Supply Planning role requires prior experience in Supply Planning and S&OP/IBP processes, along with a broad understanding of demand and materials planning. We seek an entrepreneurial and energetic candidate capable of managing both strategic and tactical activities, demonstrating progress in a dynamic environment. This role involves daily interaction with business leaders in Manufacturing, Contract Manufacturing, Procurement, Demand Planning, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and key external partners to drive business objectives. The position offers an exciting opportunity to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, identify and develop partnerships, and discover new and breakthrough solutions to lead the category.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the Supply Chain team as a key stakeholder in the MRP and S&OP processes to meet customer demand while minimizing inventory costs and maximizing service levels.

  • Develop, manage, validate, and communicate production plans for all items across multiple co-manufacturers.

  • Monitor inventory levels across multiple FG warehouses and collaborate with customer service to ensure all orders are fulfilled in full and on time to meet the Fill Rate % metric.

  • Identify risks and opportunities and provide potential solutions.

  • Develop, strategize, and maintain ongoing network supply and capacity planning.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on positioning and maintaining finished goods inventories, balancing customer fill rates, inventory carrying costs, and transportation.

  • Establish guidelines for cost-efficient movement of finished goods while maintaining minimum inventory investment.

  • Identify opportunities and lead execution for process improvements.

  • Anticipate and communicate current and potential risks and opportunities to Senior Management for appropriate decision-making.

  • Monitor FG inventory and manage aged inventory, SKU rationalized inventory, and restricted stock to maximize sales revenue and minimize P&L impact.

  • Own and maintain data and reporting within the MRP system.

  • Support and drive transformation from current manual processes to Anaplan Supply Planning platform, managing change management, master data accuracy, data migration, and ensuring project deliverables.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 5+ years working as a Supply Planning Manager using Anaplan or a similar system.

  • Minimum 5+ years in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) or a related industry.

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related experience in the field preferred.

  • Minimum 2+ years of supply planning in Anaplan or a similar system.

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Supply Planning and S&OP in a CPG company.

  • Experience in transformation and onboarding new tools like Anaplan.

  • Strong collaboration and written/verbal communication skills, especially with teams across multiple business units.

  • Detail-oriented, self-starter, capable of working independently and taking initiative.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data to gather insights.

  • Ability to organize work, manage multiple projects and priorities, and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent customer service and support skills, ability to work under pressure, and professional demeanor.

  • Leadership skills to influence direction and decision-making related to Consensus/S&OP processes.

  • Experience in packaged goods within the retail and/or B2B markets preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Advanced skills with MS Office.

  • Working knowledge of quantitative methods to analyze situations and solve business problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence internal and external customers and relationships.

  • Strong collaboration skills to partner internally and externally to resolve issues and identify opportunities.

Work Environment

Office environment. This person will work at the corporate site in Scranton Wednesday through Thursday and can work remotely Monday and Friday. They will be required at times to visit the plant in Moosic, which is only 5 minutes away. They will oversee a team of two other supply chain members and collaborate with all cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, operations, HR, Accounting, and Finance. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
