Company Overview

JOB SUMMARY :

Under the direction of Senior Director of SAAS Integration, the Systems Administrator is responsible for a full range of activities to ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of HR, payroll, timekeeping, and scheduling applications. Activities include: system(s) needs analysis, business process documentation, process improvement, and workforce analytics support. This position provides in depth research and solutions to a variety of complex, non-routine issues across multiple systems and processes. This position is responsible for maintenance and operation of including but not limited to: an integrated suite of applications, employee and manager self service functions, application security, training, payroll, time and attendance, query/ ad hoc reporting, benefits administration, talent acquisition (recruitment), compliance, and compensation.

Essential Functions:

  • System Maintenance/Testing: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of multiple systems including HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Scheduling, Absence Management, Benefit Administration, Talent Acquisition, Employee/Manager Self Service and Labor Analytics, Assist in the development, impact analysis, documentation, testing and implementation of all system changes, upgrades, patches, interfaces and workflows. Collaborates with functional and technical resources to create testing plans/scripts, coordinate user acceptance testing activities and document results. Maintains documentation on all systems processes and procedures. Supports design, testing and implementation of interfaces. Maintains systems security access control including granting access with appropriate roles.

  • End User Support: Serves as primary source for first level technical and functional support for all applications. Receives help desk calls and request via phone, voice mail, email and instant message. Utilizes tracking software to create, assign and monitor IT help desk, system access requests and outages in compliance with established standards. Works collaboratively with the Information Technology Department to escalate and assign unresolved issues to appropriate resource. Ensures quality standards by regularly reviewing tickets assigned to IT resources. Creates documentation and scripts to increase knowledge transfer and first call resolution for IT and HR Help Desk.

  • Projects/Process Improvement: Working with business subject matter experts, conducts assessment meetings to gather business requirements and translate them into technical requirements for the creation of application features, enhancements, and functions. Explores alternatives and recommends solutions/process improvements based upon thorough investigation, best practices, ROI analysis and other criteria for evaluation. Leads small to medium-scale projects from conception to implementation.

  • Data Governance: Understands and analyzes data relationships across all business processes and solutions. Owns data governance by ensuring overall understanding of related policies, processes and practices incorporate appropriate data protection activity. Maintains system configuration tables to facilitate accurate and timely entry and maintenance of employee data. Implements audit control steps to ensure data integrity and compliance with establish standards. Develops and recommend policies and procedures designed to increase end user accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of systems.

  • Reports/Queries: Recommend, design, compile, generate and distribute routine or special request (ad hoc) reports and analyses. Assist in the development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs and facilitate end user self-reliance. Help maintain data integrity in systems by performing audits, running queries and analyzing data. Collaborate with technical experts and business units to determine the best possible reporting solutions. Ensures that resulting solutions deliver timely information with appropriate security directly to end users with minimum team intervention, and improves service delivery efficiency and effectiveness. Create and maintain report design documentation and other knowledge transfer materials.

  • Individual Development: Maintain awareness of current trends with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Position requires strong technological, analytical and communication skills; background in human resources information systems and a general knowledge of all other human resources functional areas; experience in data flow analysis and project management; basic knowledge of technical environment including languages and databases; ability to analyze and resolve moderately complex problems and use independent judgment.

  • Must have a strong working knowledge and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products

  • Requires effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.

  • Prefer previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects.

  • Requires ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

    Education or equivalency:

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.

    Experience:

  • Must have at least three (3) years’ experience with application software support including providing hands-on customer support and desktop troubleshooting with UKG Pro and/or UKG Dimensions.

  • Experience in project management techniques and leading small to medium project teams is preferred.
