Responsibilities Job Summary This key role will add objectivity, creativity and fiscal coaching using analytics to help the organization and other leaders monitor and understand clinical drivers of revenue, volume, expense, capital spend, and profitability, with an overall focus on improvement. Develop, prepare, interpret and monitor moderate–to–complex financial analyses, financial projections, financial modeling, and reports to be used by leadership in support of business development and operational decision-making. Own and/or interact with various critical systems to continuously improve processes and reliability of data. Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic network initiatives. A strong understanding of net revenue, payor reimbursement methodologies (government and private), Physician and staff labor productivity, physician and payor contracting, capital prioritization, and various supplier services will be critical to this position. Requires the ability to think critically and partner with numerous stakeholders in order to effectively analyze data, identify problems and recommend solutions. Requires the ability to lead projects independently within minimal direction and ambiguity. The position will prioritize finance related initiatives and facilitate monthly operating and capital reviews to create a culture of financial awareness and accountability while ensuring the efficient utilization of resources and could include both balance sheet and income statement. Proactively researches, identifies and incorporates new data sources and industry information to provide recommendations to decision makers. The position will build and support effective collegial relationships with physicians, leaders and peers across the network to enable an environment of proper financial governance throughout all areas of HonorHealth Operations. Provides leadership in the achievement of capital, financial and operational performance objectives and expectations including revenue growth, operational margin targets, effective expense management and overall efficiency measures. Establishes systems to monitor performance and assure locations are delivering financial goals as committed through the budget. This may include recommendations for redistribution of resources when necessary to deliver outcomes and use of analytical processes to assure the achievement of initiatives and the implementation of performance improvement opportunities in the areas of operational performance, clinical excellence, patient satisfaction and employee engagement. Works collaboratively with clinical and executive leadership in identifying and quantifying factors that affect financial performance throughout the continuum of care. This may include identification of financial improvement opportunities through monthly budget variance analysis, studying trended data, comparing benchmark information and reviewing productivity data. Creates, maintains and updates electronic scorecards for reporting of key performance indicators against relevant benchmark and financial performance standards and indicators for measuring profitability (reimbursement, costs, and productivity factors). Defines, writes and develops reports and graphical displays for assigned applications using specific reporting tools. Own systems and processes within the system such as cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, tools for EPIC data that deliver the right data and insights to our stakeholders. Provide strategic financial input and leadership for the network on decision making issues affecting the organization, including evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions and/or mergers. Validates the financial impact of strategy, planning and strategic business development initiatives for the operations area and/or service lines which may include detailed analysis, proforma development and ROI modeling for joint ventures and other mergers or acquisitions including both operating and capital plans. Communicates and collaborates with other departments in managing day-to-day aspects of projects, identifying resources needed and choosing the most efficient method of data extraction and analysis. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or healthcare management or 6 years' progressive work related experience, including leadership experience.
