Job Description: Medical Director

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (North Scottsdale, at East Bell Road and the 101)

Compensation: Dependent on Experience

Employment Type: Full Time with Benefits (Medical, Life, Dental, Vision, and 401K)

Schedule: Monday through Friday during clinic hours 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (8 hour shifts). No nights, no weekends, no major holidays!

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Medical Director to oversee the operations and clinical care at Envita Medical Center. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced physician with a passion for integrative medicine. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide direct medical supervision and guidance to the medical team, ensuring the highest quality of patient care. 

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the center's growth, reputation, and service offerings. 

  • Oversee daily operations, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation. 

  • Represent the center at community events and build relationships with key stakeholders. 

  • Foster a culture of innovation and support research initiatives related to integrative medicine. 

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and accreditation standards. 

  • Be an ambassador for Envita and its mission. 

  • Review and sign Physician chart notes and patient medical records. 

  • Complete case reviews for patients. 

  • Conduct Physician chart note audits. 

  • Attend and present in monthly Molecular Tumor Board meetings. 

  • Complete continued education credit requirements. 

  • Hold and maintain MD(h) license in good standing and practice under MD(h) license scope of Arizona Board of Homeopathic and Integrated Medicine Examiners. 

  • Consults with patients about care. 

  • Collaborate with the medical team for care plan for all patients. 

  • Work with Envita leadership to encourage all Envita physicians with new technology and R&D rollouts to improve patient outcomes. 

  • Review and sign Standard Operating Procedures. 

  • Contribute to creating a positive healing environment and culture for patients and staff. 

Qualifications: 

  • MD or DO degree 

  • Board certification in a relevant medical specialty 

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience 

  • Experience in integrative medicine or a related field preferred 

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Proven ability to manage a team effectively 

  • Passion for providing compassionate and holistic care 

Required Skills/Competencies: 

  • Strong understanding of medical ethics and principles 

  • Ability to think critically and problem-solve effectively 

  • Knowledge of current trends and advancements in integrative medicine 

  • Proficiency in electronic health records and other medical software 

  • Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
