Summary:

We are looking for a Vendor Managed Inventory Specialist who has exceptional math and observation skills. This position’s primary duties will be to manage our customers on site active and aging inventory and to focus on reducing our customer relationions and priotize our customers needs.

Reports to: Sales Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Use a handheld scanner

• Do basic math

• Use a pallet jack and/or forklift

• Understand the parts needed for solar installs

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES:

• Team player

• High attention to detail

• Customer service

Preferred Qualifications:

• Inventory Management knowledge

• Solar parts knowledge

• electrical install knowledge

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage customer inventory

• Achieve profit on slow moving inventory sales

• Process returns to customers on aging and hot item inventory

• Negotiate special return terms and deals with customers

• Work closely with sales to sell reserve inventory to the customers

• Cross reserve products to possible substitutes

• Work with Purchasing on resolving problem material

• Solve nonstock products that are not moving through the system

• Document inventory results

• Make recommendations and processes for inventory management
