We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team based in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the telecom industry. As a Customer Service Representative, your main duties will be to process and transmit manifests for US Customs review, ensure availability and response to customer inquiries, and serve as a liaison for our customers to other related entities. Responsibilities:

• Receive, process, and transmit advance manifests for US Customs review, ensuring all relevant parties receive the necessary information.

• Follow up on US Customs acceptance or rejection responses promptly and effectively.

• Respond to phone inquiries from all internal and external customers in a professional manner.

• Monitor other customer entry points such as Outlook and Fax for customer inquiries and respond within agreed upon deadlines with all relevant information.

• Serve as a liaison for our customers to other related entities such as terminals, freight cashiers, other Service Centers, and Sales offices, including sending manifest information as required.

• Promote compliance with US Customs and other law enforcement agencies to assist with safe and secure cargo transport, including processing cargo for General Order.

• Communicate arrival information, cargo holds, last free days, and pickup numbers to customers as necessary.

• Revise customer codes before sending Arrival Notices and send Arrival Notices 5 working days before vessel arrives.

• Run Vessel Reports, depart vessels from POL as necessary, and arrive vessels as necessary.

• Cut ITs and T& Es, create and maintain EDI Report, and ensure that Wharfage Reports are created on a timely manner.

• Process invoices, create third party rebills, and ensure proper cargo handling instructions are provided to the relevant terminal or cargo warehouse operators.

Requirements • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in logistics and shipping

• Strong communication skills with ability to effectively interact with customers and team members

• Proficiency in handling inbound telephone calls, promptly addressing customer inquiries and concerns

• Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management software

• Experience in export and import customer service, including managing shipping and receiving documents

• Familiarity with logistics and distribution processes and principles

• Knowledge of procurement procedures and best practices

• Understanding of international shipping protocols and regulations

• Experience in managing shipping functions and receiving inspection processes

• Knowledge of import and export documentation requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure

• Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
