Jackson County Commission Parks and Recreation Director in Scottsboro, Alabama
Jackson County Commission will accept applications for a Parks and Recreation Director for the Jackson County Park from June 25 - July 10, 2024 between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm.
Responsibilities: Oversees the development and administration of all County Park locations to include preparing yearly budgets, managing and operating all county parks, monitoring expenditures and overseeing the maintenance of parks, athletic fields, docks, and other facilities. Involves administrative duties as a department head and supervisor over parks and recreation staff members. Performs public relations activities in collaboration with the Jackson County Commission, Mountain Lakes Chamber of Commerce, TVA, ADEM, and other governmental entities. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with the public. Experience and education in Parks and Recreation, business and personnel management preferred.
Starting pay - $27.65/hour + $0.75/hour
