THE OPPORTUNITY

An experienced Product Specialist is sought for our rapidly growing Ethicon Biosurgery team in Melbourne. The role offers substantial opportunities across various surgical specialties including General, Bariatrics, urology, Gynecology, Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgery and orthopedics. You will partner with surgeons, nurses and procurement staff throughout the hospital, from the operation theatre to the C-suite, developing long-term relationships to drive sales growth, meeting targets and aid exception patient care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a sound strategic and tactical territory business plan

  • Use internal and external data to identify current and future product opportunities.

  • Maintain strong market intelligence to improve opportunities to both protect and grow the business

  • Effectively tailor the sales approach for each targeted surgical specialty.

  • Educate clinicians and clinical staff to utilize uptake of new medical technology and develop KOL support of new products

  • Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of the range of JJM products and services to leverage business opportunities

  • Actively purse tender/ contract opportunities in a timely manner

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU

  • A proven track record of sales success selling into specialty surgeons, ideally in a hospital theatre environment

  • High emotional intelligence and thorough understanding of the concept of ‘Change Management’

  • Sales driven, persistent and the ability to convert opportunities into outcomes

  • The natural ability to develop relationships and have commercial conversations with a diverse range of customers

  • Strong collaborator, both internally and externally

  • Related tertiary qualifications and/or previous hospital selling experience
