ASRC Federal Holding Company Information Security Engineer in Schriever AFB, Colorado
ASRC Federal Systems Solutions (AFSS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. AFSS is seeking an Information Security Engineer at Schriever SFB, CO to support the upcoming FROST program.
Key Role:
Maintain and enforce a security awareness program
Ensure contractor personnel comply with all aspects of the NRO security program as outlined in NRO security directives, as well as other Government security policies and directives
Support Government identified Operational Security initiatives.
Comply with all NRO RMF activities/requirements and applicable policy/governance in coordination with appointed NOPS Information System Security Officer (ISSO).
Provide full Assessment & Authorization (A&A) support and technical security guidance in all phases of the system accreditation process and/or Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Collaborate with system integrators and administrators to harden information systems to the required acceptable level.
Conduct security review of information security plans for computers, networks, and information systems
Conduct the assessment security system needs and provide corrective actions into a coherent security strategy
Documents identified project risks, mitigations, and outcomes
Maintains awareness of system requirements and extant challenges to identify areas of concern or improvement

This position is offering a pay range of $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. Requirements :
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI and eligible/willing to take CI polygraph
Minimum 2-4 + years of Information Security experience
Familiarity with NRO IT-IA-IM Regulations
Security+ or equivalent
Bachelor’s Degree in technology or information systems related discipline
Experience troubleshooting networks and authentication issues
Be a team player and work in a genuinely collaborative team environment
Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic
Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure efficient and accurate schedule development and updates.
Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners
Ability to create project documentation
Desire to work in a fast paced, mission-focused environment
General knowledge of systems engineering practices, requirements management, and sustainment/logistics practices
Review and analyze systems architecture diagrams and networks Preferred Qualifications:
NRO experience
CISSP Certification
Familiarity with satellite command and control systems
Understanding of launch vehicle and satellite launch ascent, test, and on-orbit operational processes, practices, and procedures
Experience with Agile Management tools
