Program Director of Supported Housing
Human Services
Responsibilities of the Program Director-Supported Housing Program Service are to provide leadership and supervision to a program serving 90+ adults who are in need of housing and have one or more of the following: mental illness, young adults with mental illness, HIV+/AIDS or chronic homelessness. Duties include:
Program oversight including all service provision to clients, funder’s requirements and reports, budget oversight, etc.
Supervision and leadership of 6 staff members including an Assistant Program Director, Young Adult Specialist, and 4 Housing Coordinators;
Community outreach; referral screening and intake;
Support and assist the Assistant Program Director with landlord relations and oversight of apartment leasing.
Oversee the development and implementation of client support plans. Client services include transitional counseling, on-going assessment, assistance with case management needs and regular apartment visits as determined by client need.
Oversight to ensuring the apartments are maintained in a safe and healthy manner with the assistance of the team.
Requirements
Skills/Qualifications for the Program Director-Supported Housing Program include:
Bachelor’s degree in a human services discipline; Master’s degree in human services preferred;
4 years’ experience in human services with at least 1 year experience in mental health AND 1 year experience working with the young adults, people diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and/or the chronically homelessness;
2 years supervisory experience;
Valid and insurable driver’s license required. Must have own transportation. Agency vehicles are available for client transport;
Strong leadership ability;
Experience with multiple funders/grants including reporting preferred;
Experience with electronic records preferred;
Experience or education in crisis intervention and prevention preferred;
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; and
The ability to be organized, multitask and have good time management skills.
Benefits
Salary and Schedule of the Program Director-Supported Housing Program:
Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week. 8:30-4:30, NO on-call.
$66,643/annual equivalent.
