What impact you’ll make

We are seeking Plant Standards and Validation Lead Controls Engineer for a world class engineering team that is responsible for the development and maintenance of standards and the NPI (New Product Introduction), as well as testing and validation of Plant controls. Through innovation and active partnering with other GE engineering teams and external customers you will have the opportunity to design, implement and automate validation strategies for control software for HRSG/BOP and integrated plant level controls. You will be empowered, work in a Scaled Agile Framework environment (SAFe) driving meaningful change and continuous improvement using Lean principles.  This role requires some autonomy and some judgement in more complicated environment. In addition to closely collaborating with our internal & external customers explaining information to get consensus, this role is critical in driving a culture of technical domain depth, contemporary leadership, on-time quality execution and strong customer-focused mindset.

Nous sommes à la recherche d'un/e ingénieur(e) Validation des systèmes de contrôle et normes relatives aux centrales pour diriger une équipe d'ingénieurs de classe mondiale, en charge du développement et de la maintenance des normes et des NPI (introduction de nouveaux produits), ainsi que des tests et de la validation des systèmes de contrôle des centrales. Grâce à l'innovation et à un partenariat actif avec d'autres équipes d'ingénierie GE et des clients externes, vous serez amené(e) à concevoir, mettre en œuvre et automatiser des stratégies de validation pour les logiciels de contrôle destinés aux chaudières de récupération de chaleur/systèmes auxiliaires (BOP) et pour les mécanismes de contrôle intégrés au niveau de la centrale. Vous travaillerez dans un environnement Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) et vous mettrez en place des changements significatifs et des améliorations continues en utilisant les principes Lean.  Ce poste nécessite un certain niveau d’autonomie et de jugement dans un environnement complexe. Outre le fait d’entretenir une collaboration étroite avec nos clients internes et externes, en présentant des informations précises afin d’obtenir un consensus, le/la titulaire de ce poste joue un rôle essentiel dans la diffusion d’une culture axée sur les compétences techniques, le leadership moderne, la qualité, le respect des délais ainsi qu’une forte orientation client.

Job Description

What you'll do

• Design, develop and execute strategies to gather and define requirements, and validate Plant standard control application software, comprising of HRSG and Balance of Plant (BOP), against requirements while creating a permanent linkage between requirement and standards artifacts.

• Design, develop and execute strategies to gather and define requirements and validate Plant (HRSG and BOP) control application software against project and program specific requirements using standards artifacts as a basis.

• Work with the technical leaders, Control Title Holders, internal customers, and external customers to gather control and operability requirements to deliver a quality product on time to meet Power Plant startups and commissioning activities.

• Define and deliver productivity and process improvements that increase the capacity of the Plant Controls team.

• Lead and support Agile enterprise tool strategies including CLM & PLM integration

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical or related engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience

• Minimum 5 years of related experience of which minimum of 3 years controls engineering experience

• Strong technical skills and expertise and substantive experience in Integrated Combined Cycle Plant Control in HRSG, Balance of Plant using Mark VIe

• Controls Software Validation knowledge

• Travailler avec les responsables techniques, les ingénieurs CTH, les clients internes et les clients externes pour recueillir les exigences de contrôle et d'opérabilité afin de fournir un produit de qualité, dans les délais impartis, permettant de mener à bien les activités de démarrage et de mise en service des centrales électriques

• Définir et apporter des améliorations de productivité et de processus visant à développer les capacités de l'équipe en charge des systèmes de contrôle de la centrale

• Diriger et soutenir les stratégies d'outils d'entreprise agiles, y compris l'intégration CLM et PLM

Ce que vous apporterez (qualifications de base)

• Bac +3 en ingénierie, en électricité, en chimie, en mécanique ou dans un domaine technique connexe, ou connaissances et expérience équivalentes

• Au moins 5 ans d'expérience dans un domaine connexe, dont au moins 3 ans dans le domaine de l’ingénierie des systèmes de contrôle

Ce qui vous permettra de vous démarquer

• Solides compétences techniques et expérience avérée de la gestion des systèmes de contrôle de centrales à cycle combiné intégré (notamment pour les chaudières de récupération de chaleur et les systèmes auxiliaires [BOP]), à l'aide des solutions Mark VIe

• Connaissances en matière de validation des logiciels de contrôle

• Excellentes compétences de communication et capacité à motiver et à mobiliser les équipes, les clients et les fournisseurs pour obtenir un consensus

• Acteur(trice) du changement et capacité d'influence à tous les niveaux de l’organisation

• Expérience avérée du travail dans un environnement matriciel mondial, avec des compétences d'influence et de collaboration

• Solides compétences en leadership, capacité à maintenir la motivation des équipes et à innover par le biais de cycles de travail dynamiques

• Volonté de prioriser l’intégration des systèmes au sein de la communauté du génie thermique, afin de répondre aux demandes des clients

• Excellentes compétences de communication et capacité à vendre la technologie grâce à des messages simples et clairs

• État d'esprit de simplification ; capacité à agir face aux commentaires reçus et à mettre en place des initiatives de productivité pour obtenir des résultats commerciaux et techniques

• Une expérience des méthodologies d’équipe Agile serait appréciée

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $98,400.00 - 164,000.00 USD annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, geographic location, and skill set.

This position is also eligible for a 10% annual performance bonus. This position will stay open on the career website until at least 10/30/2024.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%,120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
