The GEV Human Resources Internship Program focuses on early career professionals, with prior work experience, who are looking to grow their career in Human resources through HR experiential learning that will help build leadership potential and develop skills to be a successful full-time HR professional. Additionally, when you join as an HR Intern, you gain access to a global community of HR professionals who have a passion to innovate and a strong desire to make a difference.

Job Description

What you’ll do:

  • You will collaborate on exciting projects and work with talented peers and inspirational leaders, many of whom began as interns and co-ops themselves.

  • Your intern assignment, generally 10-12 weeks, will be focused on specific HR areas such as, but not limited to, HR generalist, employee relations, organization and staffing, learning and development, compensation and benefits or people operations.

  • You will have the opportunity to impact the future of the HR organization, all the while being exposed to a world-class program community and endless developmental opportunities.

  • Finally, our interns are our primary pipeline for our Human Resources Leadership Program.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications):

  • Must be currently enrolled in a undergraduate or graduate degree focusing on human resources disciplines (e.g., industrial & labor relations, industrial & organizational psychology, organizational behavior etc.), business, liberal arts, finance, accounting or law.

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A. off a 4.0 scale without rounding

  • You have minimum three (3) years of prior full-time work experience in human resources, business, liberal arts, finance, accounting or law.

  • You're enrolled in a Master's program focused on an HR discipline.

  • You are graduating in or December 2025 or May 2026.

Other Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be geographically mobile (Atlanta, GA; Cambridge, MA; Greenville, SC; Schenectady, NY). Relocation assistance provided.

  • Must have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship

The pay for this position is $40.00 per hour.

This position is also eligible for:

  • Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.

  • Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.

  • Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services

  • GE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
