Description
Clinician, Sexual Abuse Treatment Program (SATP)
Licensed Social Workers or Mental Health Professionals are eligible for $7500 signing bonus
As a Clinician for The Sexual Abuse Treatment Program (SATP), you will provide assessment and treatment to child victims of sexual abuse and non-offending parents. The Sexual Abuse Treatment Program helps children and non-offending family members in Schenectady County heal from the damaging effects of child sexual abuse. The program's goal is to reduce the trauma experienced by each family member and to help the family adjust and reorganize in a manner to help ensure the healthy development and ongoing protection of the child. You will report to the Program Coordinator and provide therapy services onsite at our SATP office; there is the opportunity to complete documentation remotely. You will work 40 hours a week including one evening shift as determined by our clients’ needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and family therapy to child victims of sexual abuse and their families.
Participate in and conduct sexual abuse evaluations.
Prepare for and provide expert witness testimony in Family Court.
Complete paperwork properly and within the agency, county, and state guidelines.
Utilize the NYS OCFS connections database for all record-keeping.
Coordinate services with Schenectady County DSS, service providers, and collaterals involved with each youth and their family.
Requirements and Education:
Master's degree with a New York State License in one of the mental health-related fields such as social work or mental health counseling (will accept applicants who are license eligible, have a limited permit, and working toward licensure).
Three or more years of experience in the child and family services sector is preferred.
A valid NYS driver’s license.
