Position Overview?
Plays a vital role in partnering with external teams to ensure the mailing of timely payments to various state/local tax agencies. The role is responsible for providing exceptional service to clients by accurately preparing and packaging agency checks for delivery. This role will partner closely with the other Tax departments and Payroll Distribution teams.
Location: Candidate must be located near one of our distribution centers in Springfield, NJ, or Louisville, KY, or Schaumburg, IL.
Compensation: $22/hr.
Reports To: Manager Distribution - Based in Oakland, CA
Schedule: On-Site Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
Primary Responsibilities

Assist Tax Filing team with printing, processing, packing, and shipping tax-related items such as Quarterly tax returns, daily deposit payments, coupons, amendment returns, notices, etc.
Basic understanding of tax documents which includes but is not limited to W2’s, 941’s, 8655’s, 1096/1099’s.
Interact with third-party shipping software. Ability to track and assist with client packages through delivery.
Safely operate and troubleshoot printers and inserting equipment escalating any issues as needed.
Ensuring printing and mailing supply inventory is maintained to ensure timely processing of deposits and returns.
Assist with administrative duties such as filing, responding to internal and external client requests, or double-checking work for accuracy.
Maintain and update training materials for the Distribution team. Assist payroll Distribution team as needed.
Monitor e-mails, tickets, and provide follow-up communication as needed.
Available to work a fixed schedule, at least 5 days/40 hours per week. Make every effort to get to work, even during times of inclement weather or company functions where the rest of Paylocity is offsite or has been dismissed for the day.
Overtime may be required during peak seasons such as Quarter End or Year-End.

Education and Experience
High School or GED equivalent education required.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must have strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
Experience working in a distribution environment is preferred.
Prior experience working with third-party shipping software or in a payroll-related field is preferred.
