Summary

This position is part of Huntington Distribution Finance (HDF) and is responsible for gathering data, compiling information and maintaining accurate accounting records. Assists with preparation of financial statement and management reports. Also assists with maintenance of various accounting/financial systems.

• Responsible for monitoring the activity and performing various general ledger and/or cash account reconciliations of varying degrees of complexity. Assists with corresponding variance analysis and provides monthly invoice payment/review.

• Assist with the preparation of various management reports. Responsible for reconciling such reports with source documentation (general ledger, financial statements, subsystem reports, etc.) researching any differences and pursuing corrective action as needed.

• Assist with the maintenance of various financial systems, automated spreadsheets and database applications as assigned.

• Assist department with financial analysis and special projects as assigned.

• Responsible for completing journal entries to the general ledger for the month-end closing process. Journal entries may be prepared using various automated methods including AJET and/or upload files from spreadsheets or other subsystems.

• Responsible for data collection, documentation and preparation of paperwork support for various assigned tasks.

• Responsible for following internal controls, policies, and procedures when completing assigned duties.

• Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of accounting or related experience.

• 2 years of accounting or related experience.

• Demonstrated problem solving ability.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Good end user computer skills.

• Good organization skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Commercial Banking experience
