Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a MEAN Stack Developer to join one of our High Tech Consulting partners in Toronto.

Application Development:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using the MEAN (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js) stack. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Node.js. Implement RESTful APIs to support web and mobile application

Database Management:

Design, implement, and manage MongoDB databases. Ensure data consistency and optimize database performance.

Front-End Development:

Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Develop and maintain front-end applications using Angular. Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and deliver new features. Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Testing and Debugging:

Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Debug and resolve technical issues across the entire stack.

Deployment and Maintenance:

Automate deployment processes and manage application deployments. Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Skills and Requirements

Must haves: 4-6 years experience as a MEAN Stack Developer

Technical Skills:

  * Proficiency in Node.js and its frameworks (Express.js or similar).

  * Strong experience with MongoDB and database design.

  * Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including Angular (or AngularJS).

  * Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

  * Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Experience:

  * Proven experience as a MEAN Stack Developer or similar role.

  * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  * Ability to write well-documented, clean JavaScript code.

  * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS*, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.

  * Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.

Soft Skills:

  * Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
