Description
Administrative Assistant I - Production Penn United Technologies, Inc. is now accepting applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant I to provide daily administrative and customer service support for our Carbide manufacturing team. This person will work primarily on the shop floor, assisting with flow of necessary paperwork, job tracking, data entry, inventory, reporting and other clerical duties. Responsibilities: Assist Manufacturing with orders, paperwork flow Use computer to enter orders and track jobs in process Prepare and submit purchase requisitions Communicate with Vendors/ Customers via email Prepare and submit shipments to shipping department Assist with basic tasks where requested and perform other related support duties such as inventory and stocking of shop and safety supplies Perform a variety of clerical duties such as typing, copying & compiling data, maintaining & filing records and reports, and handling paperwork Assist with Quality to ensure and document that employee's meet requirements according to our Quality Management System Perform other duties and assignments, as deemed necessary, to support the Carbide Manufacturing group Qualifications
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Prior administrative experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus Experience with blueprint reading is a plus, not required Excellent typing, data entry skills and attention to detail Basic computer literacy with Microsoft Office, Outlook and able to quickly learn and use required computer software Excellent organizational skills, self-motivated, able to effectively manage multiple tasks Strong ability to professionally communicate using both verbal and written skills Committed to providing exceptional customer service Compensation & Benefits: Penn United Technologies currently employs over 700 people in our employee-owned precision manufacturing company, located about 35 miles north of Pittsburgh in Butler County.
