Pay Rate
:
Upon successful completion of mill specific training and obtaining a Class III Biological Waste Water Operator License from the State of Georgia, the pay range will be the following:
- Waste Water Operator II - $25.72
- Waste Water Operator I - $27.09
- Senior Waste Water Operator - $29.42

The Job You Will Perform:
This is an hourly position in which the chosen candidates will report directly to the Front Line Leader (Fibers). The candidate(s) will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the mills effluent system.
This type of training to further your career involves the physical, technical, and mechanical ability to safely perform the following:
Turns off aerators and makes appropriate communications.
Troubleshoots various pieces of equipment.
Switches out polymer and defoamer totes as necessary and ensures sufficient inventory is maintained.
Manages the nutrient systems and adjusts nutrient levels.
Makes decisions to adjustment levee gates based on operating conditions.
Operates the belt press to reduce solid waste during WWO shift schedule.
Orders necessary operating supplies.
Communicates and coordinates with contractors.
Collects samples daily.
Performs basic maintenance functions (including but not limited to changing out chemical pumps, hoses and fittings).
Supports housekeeping or other operational duties in the wood yard as assigned by management.
Preferred work experience in Wastewater or Effluent Systems. Other relevant work experience is a plus.
Ability to show operational proficiency of department objectives to include safety, environmental, and operational excellence.
Computer skills including ability to work with MS Office and Parcview.
Proficient written and oral communication
