Job Title: Upholstery Technician II

Job Type: Full Time; Contractor

Location: Savannah, GA

Schedule: 1st Shift (but must be open to other shifts)

Pay Rate: $25.66 per hour

The job is for someone who makes and installs seat covers and other interior parts of airplanes using different materials and tools

High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years’ experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers and/or various hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades. Experience in aerospace industry is a plus and preferred!

Position Purpose:

Under minimal supervision fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and make simple patterns for aircraft interiors using design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications.

Job Summary The candidate will work as an Upholstery Technician II focusing on fabricating and installing upholstery for aircraft interiors using design/engineering drawings and specifications. They will handle materials like fabric, vinyl and leather hides and use various tools including commercial sewing machines and power tools.

Skill Requirements

Must-Have Requirements

Commercial sewing machines , sergers , and/or various hand tools experience.

Proficiency in reading design/engineering drawings.

Experience working with upholstery , carpet trades , or similar fields.

Ability to work with materials like fabric , vinyl , leather hides , and other composites.

Knowledge of using a material tracking system .

Pay Details: $25.66 per hour
