We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Operations Training Specialist for Goodwill Southeast Georgia. Your Typical Day:
Demonstrate and uphold Goodwill Southeast Georgia’s mission, vision, and values in all aspects of your work.
Work closely with site leaders to advance operational efficiencies and effectiveness, focusing on Donated Goods best practices.
Collaborate with supervisors and managers to develop, implement, and execute on-site training requirements.
Monitor and ensure timely and consistent completion of training modules through existing tracking systems.
Assess standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure alignment between training and actual performance.
Issue weekly updates and reminders to operational leaders, ensuring adherence to the training curriculum.
Partner with supervisors to identify training gaps and ensure availability of resources for on-site implementation.
Conduct hands-on field training in areas such as donation acquisition, production & pricing, customer service, and register operations.
Oversee all aspects of assigned development programs, including pre- and post-work, coaching, and tracking progress toward course objectives.
Assist in the design, development, and delivery of training materials and programs.
Provide regular updates on content, materials, and other relevant information post-program completion to ensure continuous learning.
Develop a strong understanding of processes across all operational areas.
Actively engage with operational leadership to assess and advance training initiatives.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support operational success and team development.
Contribute to Goodwill's mission through the advancement of training, development, and education efforts.
What You’ll Need:
High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
1-3 years of experience in training or development within a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback and effectively convey information.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Passion for learning and development, with a desire to help others succeed.
Understanding of performance metrics and data analysis.
Knowledge of standard office equipment and business applications, including PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
Ability to conduct both in-person and virtual training sessions for various locations.
Strong initiative, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and the ability to be insured under the company’s vehicle policy.
Frequently lift up to 20 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds using equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
Visual acuity for tasks such as depth perception, peripheral vision, and distinguishing basic color.
This role requires the ability to work in an unstructured environment with minimal supervision, where adaptability and initiative are key.
