Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer II

Job Type: Full Time; Consultant

Pay Rate: $55.00 per hour

Position Purpose:

PDS Tech is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II in Savannah, GA, to perform complex analyses and evaluation of operations within manufacturing processes. This role focuses on planning improvements, solving manufacturing issues, and integrating systems and tools for a streamlined approach in a production or post-production environment.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related curriculum.

• Experience: At least 18 months of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, planning, or a related technical field.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process Optimization: Develop detailed methodologies for complex assemblies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Documentation: Author and refine work instructions in collaboration with Operations Engineers to ensure clear, zero-defect manufacturing processes.

• Analysis and Planning: Conduct in-depth studies to improve and propose equipment, tools, and methods that align with manufacturing requirements.

• Lean Manufacturing: Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve product quality.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead projects across multiple departments to ensure timely and successful execution of manufacturing goals.

• Quality and Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality control standards and actively participate in developing strategies to meet quality and regulatory compliance.

Additional Functions:

• Continuous Improvement: Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance manufacturing operations.

• Technology Integration: Utilize advanced manufacturing technologies, including SAP and Solumina, to optimize production processes.

Other Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge and application of engineering practices, tooling, and production equipment.

• Proficiency in CAD, CAM, and ERP software, with a preference for experience in Solumina and SAP.

• Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or higher certification preferred.

Pay Details: $55.00 per hour
