Goodwill Southeast Georgia CUSTODIAL CREW LEADER in Savannah, Georgia

Custodial Crew Leaders for Goodwill, oversee the custodial team to ensure services meet contract specifications and quality standards. This role is responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of custodial services across assigned facilities.

    Your Typical Day:

  • Lead and direct custodial teams to complete assigned tasks in accordance with contract requirements.

  • Assign and communicate tasks to ensure timely completion while adhering to safety practices.

  • Ensure custodial staff have the necessary equipment and knowledge before shifts begin.

  • Utilize electronic applications to document work completion and any discrepancies.

  • Provide hands-on training and support to enhance custodial techniques and effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with supervisors and management to provide feedback for staff development.

  • Maintain accountability for company property, including keys, supplies, and equipment.

  • Complete daily paperwork and reports to support effective shift operations, such as time and attendance, maintenance logs, and vehicle inspections.

  • Monitor supply and equipment usage, communicating needs for reordering as necessary.

  • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures.

  • Contribute to organizational goals by completing related assignments as needed.

  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Adaptability to evolving needs and tasks within the organization.

    What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 1-3 years of custodial experience or related experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.

  • Ability to pass required security clearances, including background screening.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in reading, writing, and basic arithmetic.

  • Familiarity with technology, including computers and mobile applications.

  • Strong leadership skills, with a commitment to operational excellence and a positive work ethic.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.

  • Capacity to follow and provide explicit instructions.
