1st Shift: Shipping/Receiving Lead - Direct Hire!

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Working Shipping/Receiving Lead to oversee the shipping and receiving operations within our machine shop environment. This role is crucial in ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Shipping and Receiving Department.

  • Ensure the warehouse space is used wisely and remains organized.

  • Utilize UPS and FedEx shipping systems.

  • Process goods for customers and prepare them for shipment.

  • Work closely with the Operations team to ensure products are ready for shipment.

  • Oversee forklift operations.

  • Pack parts according to customer requirements, print labels and packing slips, contact freight carriers, receive products, and deliver products to various departments.

Essential Skills

  • Previous Shipping/Receiving Lead experience.

  • Experience with FedEx and UPS shipping software.

  • Forklift operation experience.

  • Inventory control and inventory management.

  • Experience with ERP systems and shipping and freight management software.

  • Proficiency with RF scanners.

  • 3 to 5 years of previous Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse leadership in a manufacturing setting.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

  • Ability to establish strong team relationships.

  • Lead by example with high standards of integrity, fairness, and openness within the department.
